New Delhi: The passion and pride for Made in India has evolved, believes Bollywood actor and entrepreneur, Sonam Kapoor.
Speaking at the ETRetail Fashion and Apparel Innovation Summit 2023, Kapoor said, “Initially there was a lot of western obsession in fashion, but consumers have realized that India has a rich heritage of textiles, embroidery and craftsmanship, that we should be very proud of . So, the passion and pride for Made in India has evolved.”
Sharing her ideas behind fashion, Kapoor said, “…Fashion is a way to express oneself.”
Kapoor owns a fashion label Rheson and co-owns the clothing brand Bhane and multi-brand sneaker boutique VegNonVeg.
Sharing insights on her investment choices, she opined, “Investments should be made only when you understand the brand and can see its longevity.”
Further, she highlighted sustainability, Made in India and historical value as the three key trends in the fashion space.
